It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and past co-worker, Sandra "Sandy" Sinjari.
Some people have a light about them and hers was impossible to miss. She had a zest for life that lit up every room she entered with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was creative, passionate, strong and devoted to those she loved. We'll always remember her quick wit and energy; they were truly unmatched.
Sandy showed us again and again what it meant to be a warrior, not because she fought, but because she continued to live. Even through incredibly difficult circumstances, she carried an extraordinary positivity with her. She reminded all of those around her, "It could always be worse".
Her impact reaches far beyond our walls. Sandy naturally guided and protected others by always standing firm for what was right and showing up as a true ally when someone needed a voice. There are countless people who are stronger, happier, braver and simply better for having known her. There will always be a little more laughter and light in this world because Sandy was here. Our deepest love goes to her family and friends and to everyone whose life was touched by this extraordinary woman.
Those close to her have heard her say, "Live Your Dash". Meaning birth and death dates merely bookend life, but the dash between them is your actual legacy. Sandy lived her 'dash' loudly, colourfully, courageously and with an enormous amount of love. We were so lucky to be a part of her dash.
A true warrior. A beautiful light. An unforgettable friend.
