How we are handling Pokemon 30th anniversary product:
After some serious consideration looking at our allocation numbers, considering all of our potential options, listening to the demand for this product, we have landed on what we think is the best path for us.
We will be hosting a small rip party for our first wave of allocation, and a raffle for the second wave.
Given how little product we have access to, the rip party product is going to a handful of primarily players who have been around supporting us from before we even opened, playing the game during our "folding chairs on concrete" era while we slowly built our store to what it is now. Without them and some other customers that backed us up in the beginning, we would frankly be getting none of this product at all.
As for the second wave, we will announce closer to the date when that can be opted in to and it will be available for locals only.
Now for the why:
We have been asked a LOT about this product. Enough times to be positive that we could not service even just the demand of the people who called or came in person to ask. We have no shame in stating what the number of people we can get product for is.
25
We have enough product to sell 2 items to 25 people. We aimed at 800 with profound wishful thinking that we could service everyone in our area.
Now, we could have raffled the purchasing slots for it on wave 1, but we chose to take the opportunity to sell to those who have really backed us up. Are there more than 25 of you? Of course. So we even had to internally randomize most of who those people were.
From here, growing our allocation to meet local demand will take a lot of time, and we are here for it. For now, it's a matter of navigating what we are able to with what we have.
Lastly, because we know this is going to get asked, this is what we are selling at for both waves:
ETB - 159.99
Knock Out Collection - 24.99
Sylveon ex/Greninja ex box - 64.99
Tech sticker - 39.99
Poster - 39.99
Cheers.
