WEthrift supports local families and community partners by donating 100% of all profits to local charities.

🩷 Meet Karolyn! Karolyn says she volunteers at WEthrift because she loves being a part of a community that gives back to her local community and knows that what we do here makes a real difference.

Happy September! WEthrift is excited to announce September’s featured charity is a specific program at the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative called the Streetlight Training Centre!

Streetlight Training Center provides the resources and the relational support needed for those currently living on the street to find housing and keep it.

It is a 90 day program where a small cohort of six to eight individuals walk through three hurdles to sustainable housing- character skills, understanding complex trauma's impact, and indoor survival skills.
They offer an alternative and healthy relational network of peers and mentors. The aim is for people to feel “I am no longer alone, and I belong."

⭐️ Volunteer spotlight ⭐️
Meet James! He has been volunteering at WEthrift since before we opened. James faithfully comes in twice a week and you’ll see him in the back of the store, receiving and sorting donations, testing and pricing electronics, and honestly doing anything we ask him to. He is a joy to have in the store!

💛 James says he volunteers at WEthrift because he likes to give back to his community and enjoys being a part of something bigger!

⭐️Volunteer spotlight! Meet Donna! She is a retired nurse who has volunteered with us from the start.

🎤 Donna says she volunteers at WEthrift because it gives her a sense of purpose and she wants to give back to the community. She chooses WEthrift because of our commitment to giving to local charities.

💙 She comes in three mornings a week and you will see her on cash, merchandising, and behind the scenes pricing, cleaning, and sorting. She is always smiling and a joy to have on our team. Make sure you say hi next time you see her 😊

We are excited to announce that our featured charity for the month of August is the Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Assoc.

WETRA provides equine therapy to over 200 people each week and focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs!
