I had the pleasure of sitting down with Shannon Mercer from Mental Health Matters in Wingham to chat about an exciting evening coming to town!

We’re talking a 1920s-inspired Murder Mystery Dinner! 🎩💃

Dust off those pinstripes, pull out the pearls, add a little glitz and glamour, and get ready for a night of mystery, laughter and fun!

Proud to support Mental Health Matters Wingham Ontario
Grab your tickets and your outfit !

Two ways that we can all stay mentally healthy or improve our mental health are to connect with others and to laugh. With that in mind, we wanted to give our community an opportunity to do both!

Join us on Saturday, November 14, at the Wingham Columbus Centre for a fun, interactive dinner and murder mystery show! It’s Big Al’s Boitday and the theme is the 1920s (dress up if you would like to, but it’s not mandatory).

Dinner - by Sue! - is $35 per person, and Mental Health Matters is covering the cost of the show, so this is not a fundraiser, but a FUNraiser! (Made possible by a generous donation from Rosewood RVilla Senior Living.)

Christmas will be coming up soon and this would be a great activity for a staff party or a family and friends gathering!

Tickets will be available next week at the Wingham Columbus Centre, I Want That Bag Consignment, and Libro Credit Union (from Donna Mast), and also from me (Shannon Mercer).

# 🍂 Hello, October!

**A little fall update from Danielle + a surprise Spooktacular Sale!**

I can hardly believe we’re already welcoming October — and I have to start this month with a very big **THANK YOU**.

In almost 13 years of business, this has been one of the most incredible fall intake seasons I have ever experienced. Both of our stores are FULL of beautiful pieces, thanks to the amazing volume of consignor drop-offs we’ve received.

And while our racks may be bursting at the seams, it’s actually a pretty wonderful problem to have.

To me, it says something bigger: **consignment and sustainable shopping are growing.** More people are choosing to give great pieces another life, shop secondhand, support local, and think differently about the way they shop.

And we are so grateful to be a part of it. ❤️

A few important reminders for our consignors:

* **Please call ahead before dropping off.**
* There is a **30-item limit**.
* Please be selective with the pieces you bring in.
* Items should be clean, current, and in great condition.

We are incredibly grateful for everything coming through our doors. Because intake has been so strong, being selective with your drop-offs helps us give your best pieces the space and attention they deserve.

As you start going through your Christmas and seasonal items, please make sure décor is **clean, in good condition, and neatly packaged** when you bring it in.

# 🤎 Community Spotlight: Michelle Angnst of Nirvana Wellness

This month, we’re excited to shine our Community Spotlight on someone who is not only a fellow local business owner, but also one of our consignors!

**Michelle Angst is the founder of Nirvana Wellness**, based on a farm just outside of Lucknow.

*Nirvana* means a state of perfect happiness, harmony and enlightenment — and that feeling is exactly what Michelle hopes people take away from time spent at her retreats.

On **October 24th**, Michelle will host her second one-day retreat, **The Autumn Reset**.

Michelle created these retreats as a way to bring together three things she is passionate about: **movement, nature and creativity.**

The Autumn Reset is an opportunity to choose yourself for one day. To put yourself first, step away from the outside world and simply be exactly who you need to be in that moment.

Michelle holds a degree in Kinesiology, a diploma in Health & Fitness Promotion, and is a certified personal trainer. Born and raised in Lucknow, she is incredibly proud to be part of the community she calls home.

DROP-OFF UPDATE: WINGHAM & LUCKNOW

Consignment is having a moment—and so are our racks! We’re grateful for the incredible number of items you’ve brought us. To give our team time to process everything already here, we’re pausing new drop-offs at our Wingham location until October 1.

If you’ve already called and arranged a Wingham drop-off, we’ll honour that arrangement. Starting October 1, we’ll accept winter coats, hats, mitts and other winter accessories in Wingham. Please call ahead before bringing anything in.

Our Lucknow location is still accepting clothing and household decor. Please call ahead so we know to expect you. You don’t need to book a specific appointment time; we simply need a heads-up.

For clothing drop-offs at Lucknow, please choose your best 30 items before you arrive. The 30-item limit means 30 clothing items brought in, rather than a larger amount for our staff to sort through and select from. This keeps the process fair for consignors who follow the limit and helps avoid disappointment if fewer items are accepted than you expected.

Please pre-screen your items at home: bring clean, excellent-condition pieces that are right for the season, and fold clothing neatly. Those few steps make a big difference when hundreds of treasures are coming through our doors.

We’ve been flexible about drop-offs for many years, but the volume has grown, and we need these guidelines to keep both stores running smoothly. Thank you for understanding, supporting our team, and helping us keep I Want That Bag a lovely place to consign and shop.

📞 Drop-offs are now by appointment only to help us stay organized and keep inventory moving quickly to the sales floor. Call ahead to reserve your drop off.

☀️ A Good Problem to Have: June Consignment Update ☀️
Hello from both I Want That Bag locations! 💛
Well... here we are again! 😊
For the second time this season, we are having to put a temporary pause on clothing drop-offs. While this isn't something we anticipated needing to do this early in the summer season, we're incredibly grateful that so many of you continue to choose us when it's time to part with your treasures. ✨
Our sorting areas, storage spaces, and processing racks are currently at capacity, and before we can responsibly accept more inventory, we need time to work through the amazing amount of merchandise that has already been entrusted to us. 🛍️
As always, our goal is to keep both stores organized, fresh, and filled with quality items that shoppers are actively looking for. Taking a short pause now helps us maintain that standard while ensuring the inventory already in our care gets properly processed, displayed, and given the attention it deserves.
We know many of you have summer items ready to bring in, and we truly appreciate your patience. 💕 We will continue to monitor inventory levels closely and will announce through our social media channels as soon as we are ready to reopen clothing intake.
