Yes. And it's close in structure to the oils your own skin makes, which is why it absorbs instead of sitting on top. It was in skincare for centuries before petroleum jelly turned up cheaper.

Twenty-five years ago this morning, 2,977 people went to work, boarded a plane, or answered a call for help, and did not come home.

Office workers. Firefighters. Police officers. Paramedics. Flight crews. Passengers. People from more than ninety countries, including twenty-four Canadians.

A quarter of a century is long enough that there are adults now who weren't born when it happened. Which is exactly why the names are still read aloud every year.

Today we're thinking of every one of them, and of the families who have carried this for twenty-five years.

Everything on our shelves is made by hand — measured, poured, cut, cured and wrapped by someone rather than something. It takes longer that way. We think it shows.
