This week, we bring you this hand rolled specimen by the fine folks Youghiogheny Glass. This sheet mixes deep royal purple with silver yellow and a surprise pinch of pink to finish it all off💎

A recent project we wanted to share is the installation of 7 newly restored windows at St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral in Regina. Last fall, we made our 3rd trip out to Regina to install a set of windows we restored in 2025, and while we were there, we removed another 7 windows for full restoration over the winter and spring of 2026. The windows were carefully dismantled, and all the glass was catalogued and cleaned. All the broken glass was reassembled with museum grade epoxy. The windows were then rebuilt using new lead came. These windows are good as new and ready to bring joy to the congregation of St. Paul's for another 100 plus years!

Last weekend, my son Eli and I spent 3 days in Regina reinstalling the 7 windows and also doing some much needed exterior patching and painting of the cathedral's rose windows. We will return again this fall to start on phase 3 of the restoration of more of the Cathedral's stained glass windows, so stay tuned......

This month, we are featuring our design #251 "German Iris"

Featuring a mix of hand and machine rolled glass. The iris bloom is two tones of hand rolled glass in blue and pale purple. The stems and leaves are a mix of machine rolled and hand rolled greens. The background is a studio favorite, clear water glass, and the border adds a subtle splash of colour with a clear granite iridescent.

A recent project we wanted to share, is the creation of three sculptures based on the logo for the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at Health Sciences Center here in Winnipeg.

These sculptures were commissioned as a thank-you gift from the department to the graduating pediatric lead residents. We created the logo in fused glass using 15 different shades of colour, which we then fused to a clear glass base. This fused glass element was then set into a burled Manitoba maple base and lastly, a copper plate, which was hand-engraved with a personalized thank you note to each resident, was applied to the wood base.
