✨ WHAT A DAY. WHAT A COMMUNITY. WHAT A MOVEMENT. ✨ Our hearts are full after another beautiful Niña Waṡte BBQ: Indigenous Entrepreneur Showcase!

Thank you to everyone who came out to play games, grab food, visit entrepreneur booths, take photos, connect with community, and celebrate with us! This event is about so much more than a BBQ, it’s about creating space for Indigenous entrepreneurs to be seen 🤩

This year we brought together some incredible Indigenous entrepreneurs, resource programs, loan and grant programs, a $500 entrepreneur giveaway, donations from amazing organizations, 18 GIANT games, over 400 people, and Indigenous owned services like a hot dog cart, photo booth, axe throwing, face painting and more! 🔥

And a HUGE shoutout to the deadly Neechies in Winnipeg’s event industry who helped make it happen! The Indigenous event industry is THRIVING, and we want Niña Waṡte to help create even more opportunities, connections and collaborations 😎

Our dream is for this event to grow into something GRAND, a day where Winnipeg can see the immense talent, creativity and businesses within our Indigenous entrepreneurial community. We’re only getting started!! ✨

We are very excited to have Disco Dogs joining us this year! They are providing our hot dog lunch for attendees! 🌭😎

Disco Dogs is a small, Indigenous-owned and operated food business based out of Winnipeg, offering hot dog carts, catering, and food services throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas 🤩

Matt and the Disco Dogs team are also passionate about creating employment opportunities for Indigenous youth, helping young people gain valuable work experience, responsibility, and the skills that come with committing to a full season of employment. ❤️
