There is something deeply meaningful about creating with purpose.
I had the honour of hand-beading and crafting this bolo tie for a colleague, featuring the logo of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba's Restoration Practices Program. Every bead was stitched with intention, respect, and gratitude, knowing it would be worn during a Water Ceremony—a sacred gathering that represents healing, connection, renewal, and the strength of community.
For me, beadwork is more than an art form; it is a way of telling a story, expressing care, and honouring tradition. It was a true privilege to create a piece that carries both personal meaning and the spirit of the Restoration Practices Program. My hope is that it serves as a reminder that healing begins with listening, understanding, and walking alongside one another with compassion.
