I Love Roma mouldings...
No matter how elegant, beautiful or simple a painting is, finishing it in one or more of these Hand Painted and Hand distressed Frames creates even more Magic and Beauty that I always enjoy sharing with you.
This original 20 x 24 European street painting has 2 frames from Roma's “Belle Epoque” collection.
The liner frame, #250048 called “Vanille” a 5/8” moulding, casts the lightness from it's gold and white finish, highlighting the paintings core beauty.
The cap frame, #256003 called “Gris Souris” a 2 1/2” moulding, stands and blends in casting even more light with it's own silver leafed edge. Creating a piece designed to last for generations.

I am so pleased to share this piece. Many thanks to Meredith Johnson and the Winnipeg Symphony Bass section for coming to me to help create this gift.
These 2 recently released Symphony photos were framed, but pre-matted in a book fashion for Meredith to bring to the other members of the Bass section and sign the matting as it is to become a surprise gift.
Signing the mat and personalizing it before it's put into the frame, is just one more way we create small acts of kindness.

Crying or Laughing?
Is the name of this incredible fine art students piece, that I was given the pleasure of custom framing.
I started with a soft grey mat called Ironwork to offset the colors. Next we elevated a black silk mat revealing about 3/4” of the lower grey mat and also to showcase the artworks every edge.
Conservation clear glass was used, as well as acid free backing. Finally we framed it with one of Roma's leathery “Noire” collection of frames. #690001

Still feels like Christmas in February
“Child like joy” is what is going on as Rhonda and I are touching each piece, taking in all there is to offer from the beautiful new launch of frame samples from Roma Mouldings!

Joe’s woodpile from 1940.
An old photo from 1940 enlarged and reprinted onto canvas, laminated and stretched with a gallery wrapping. The canvas is approximately 22” x 38”
Mounted into Roma’s black floatframe #14357001 with a custom cutting to make this floatframe a little narrower. Then capped with Roma’s 4” Aged Anubis Black Cabane #261086.

Old “Lake of the Woods Map” north-west Ontario.
For some of us, it’s very difficult to let go of an old map, understanding it’s priceless treasure and history. This entombed map will forever hang in the halls of time and space should we ever need to look back.
Just one more reason Custom Picture Framing is simply that. As simple or unique as you desire.
This map has been finished with Roma’s 1 ¼’ Belle Epoque #255015 Sable colored line of frames with 3 mats.
2 top mats and a solid base mat to mount the map onto. The first top mat is a metallic “Travertine” #4315, second mat is blueberry #468 and the base mat is vintage oak #998473.
One of the clear class choices must be used when using a certain amount of depth, for non-glare glass here will look hazed or blurry.

My afternoon with Tony Gareri.
We spent close to two hours together, meeting for the first time and sharing a bit about ourselves, mostly Tony getting to know one of his loyal supporters. One of the first things we did was to ask each other to have the opportunity to have our pictures together. Of course having a regular photo standing together, maybe a horizontal, then maybe a vertical, but then Tony becomes who he is, “The inspiration of Roma’s...MOVE INSPIRE & WOW, and asks me to also have a “Fun” photo.
Asking me always if this is OK! I immediately recall, I’m still a child inside too, so I ask...”Can I pick you up”..."when was the last time you got a horseback ride on someone’s shoulders?" Well it had been too long, but we were able to metaphorically reach very high without any regrets. One day there will be another part to this story.

I often say, if we listen with our hearts, we will hear a deeper understanding in almost everything.
Well, shortly after coming back down to the floor, Tony Gareri asked me if it was OK to take one of my business cards, of course I said yes, and he gave me his.
What he taught me in that moment, was to take nothing for granted and respect other peoples space.
It doesn’t matter what he was thinking at that moment, this was the impression I received and I am very thankful!
We then had a quick lunch together across the street at none other than De Luca’s speciality foods.
A 49 year old family business where again the energy of influence reached further than beyond our circle as Tony started conversation with one of the owners of De Luca’s establishment on our way out. Tony is an incredible teacher and there is no doubt in my mind why he is where he is.
I also want to thank Rhonda, my Winnipeg Roma representative for inviting The Chief of WOW to my business and sharing our afternoon together.
Thank you both, for a perfect afternoon and the start of our next chapter.
