For John Kolk, a legacy is grown one season at a time. 🍁

Growing up on a farm near Enchant, Alberta, John learned early on that being a grower means being a problem solver. Today, he manages 4,000 acres of Alberta soil, carrying on a family story that began when his grandfather moved from Holland in the 1950s.

Whether it’s navigating the unpredictable wind or managing precision irrigation off the Rocky Mountains, every day in the field John feels like he's doing something worthwhile.

When you look for the "Product of Canada" label, you’re supporting multi-generational families like John’s who take pride in growing high-quality food.

Ever wonder how those little beans end up on your plate? It's a fascinating journey that starts with our amazing Canadian farmers in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. 🌱🚜

Follow along as we take Canadian beans from field to fork!

🌱Growing: Beans are planted every year from early May to early June, and the growing season lasts 90-115 days.
🚜 Harvesting: In mid-September, when the plant turns brown and the seeds are dry and hard, the beans are harvested by combine or direct harvest.
✨Processing: Beans are delivered to an elevator where they are sorted, cleaned, and polished, ensuring only the best make it to your plate!
