Palindrome Dish Towel

Weave a towel with !
In this class we will warp together focusing on how to work with cotton and achieve good even tension. As we begin to weave, we’ll learn to insert and use pick-up sticks to create a striking overshot style pattern. This class is designed as a next step if you’re ready to move beyond plain weave. You’ll explore how to add texture and pattern to your cloth, work with 3 pick-up sticks, and begin to play with colour, and using more than one shuttle.
What You Will Need:
Materials
• 8/2 cotton (warp and weft)
• 8/2 cotton in a contrast colour (weft)
• Extra weft colours (optional)
Please bring to class:
• Minimum 20” rigid heddle loom
• Loom stand – optional but recommended
• Warping pegs and clamps
• 10 dent reed
• Threading hook
• 3-4 pick-up sticks
• 2 shuttles (more if you want to try using multiple colours)
• All the usual weaving paraphernalia (warping sticks, darning needle, scissors, t-pins, s-hooks, tape measure, etc.)
