I made it to Moncton for the weekend and brought along a very special lavender variety — Lavender ‘Blondie’.

Unlike regular lavender, Blondie has beautiful variegated foliage with creamy yellow edges that stays attractive all season long. Even when it’s not blooming, it adds color and interest to the garden. The plant is fragrant, drought tolerant once established, attracts pollinators, and thrives in full sun.

I also brought a wide variety of other plants, including houseplants, herbs, and garden favourites. You’ll find basil, German chamomile (perfect for tea and loved by pollinators), lavender, and many other interesting plants. Some of these are varieties that I rarely see offered in local garden centres.

I enjoy growing plants that are useful, beautiful, fragrant, or simply a little different from the usual selection. Whether you’re looking for herbs, flowers, houseplants, or something unique for your garden, there’s a good chance you’ll discover something interesting.

I’ll be in Moncton for Saturday and Sunday morning only before heading back home.

I used to feel really bad when my plants didn’t survive 🌿

I watered them.
I gave them fertilizer.
I made sure they had enough light.

And still… some of them just didn’t make it.

Now that I work in a greenhouse, I can tell you this:

Sometimes it’s not you.

Even with professional care, it happens that some plugs don’t survive.
Not every plant has the same strength from the start.

So if you’ve had plants die on you — don’t take it personally.
Just try again 💚
The next one might have more life in it.

On the photo below — Armeria (perennial) plugs before and after market prep.

Some plants were discarded.
Some were cleaned from damaged leaves.
Each one was checked to make sure the root system is healthy.

Only the strongest ones make it through — and those are the ones that go to you 🌿

I want to share something with you 🌿

My interest in plants has actually brought me inside the greenhouses where they are grown.

Now I’m not just selling plants — I get to be part of the process behind them.

Today I was working on the line where plants are prepared before shipping — kind of like a quality check before they go out.

We make sure:
✔ no empty cells in trays
✔ strong, healthy roots
✔ plants look full and vibrant

It’s a lot of small details, but they make a big difference in how your plant will grow later 💚

Would you like to see more of what happens behind the scenes?

Why buying plant plugs can actually save you money 🌿

Most people go straight for big, fully grown plants.
But here’s the thing — plugs are often a smarter choice 👇

✔ You pay less
✔ The plant adapts to your home from the start
✔ You get to grow it your way
✔ And in a few weeks, it looks just as beautiful

I carefully choose only healthy, strong plugs — the kind that will actually grow, not struggle.

Right now I have a mix of:

• String of Pearls
• Tradescantia Nanouk
• Calathea
• Ficus
• Aglaonema pictum tricolor

If you’ve never tried plugs before — this is a good place to start 🌿
Message me if you have questions or want help choosing 💚

What Happened to This Lavender?

One of my lovely customers shared this photo with me—this lavender plant, sold healthy just 9 days ago, now appears dead. Other plants in the tray show signs of stress too. Let’s explore what might have happened and how we can prevent this in the future.

1. Lavender Is Not a Water Lover
‘Hidcote Blue’ lavender is a Mediterranean perennial that thrives in sun, warmth, and well-drained soil. If it’s kept moisture or placed in shade or indoors without airflow, it can quickly suffer root rot or die back. The shriveled stems and leaves here strongly suggest overwatering. As we see other plants can survive the same amount of water little bit longer.

2. Warm Weather + Plastic Trays = Trouble
These trays are great for transport but not for keeping plants long term. In sun or heat, roots can overheat or suffocate, especially if water collects at the bottom. The best way keep plants healthy it’s to be transplanted into pots or ground quickly.

3. Plant Stress Is Real
Even hardy plants experience shock when moved to a new environment. Differences in sun exposure, wind, watering habits, or soil can cause temporary drooping, yellowing, or even dieback.

So, what should you do when you get little plants like that ?
• Remove plants from plastic trays as soon as possible, within few days .
• Transplant into a container or the ground with good drainage.
• each plant has its own requirements, learn it before you bring plants home, so you prepared For lavender: choose a sunny, dry spot and water sparingly.
• Avoid placing trays in puddles or saucers that trap water.

I always aim to provide healthy, thriving plants, and I’m here to help if you’re unsure how to care for them after purchase. Let’s learn and grow together!

Feel free to message me with photos or questions—happy to give tips or replacements if something goes wrong despite proper care.
