And another big thank you to Jacob and Fraya for helping us get her safely to the studio before the storm rolled in. 🌩️⛈️🌀Did y’all see that yesterday?!

Gosh, it feels so good to finally have the space and the support to keep growing and evolving. 🥹💖

Next step is getting the proper outlet installed and doing some test firings! She’s smaller than our current kiln, but we’re really excited to see how she runs. Sometimes having a smaller kiln is exactly what you need for experimenting, short deadlines and a little more flexibility.

We know it’s only August, but there’s a reason we’re getting an early start...

We’re posting these workshops early to give everyone a chance to grab a spot before they fill up, and we’re holding them early so there’s plenty of time for glazing and kiln firing. That means you’ll have your finished ghost back in time to decorate for the spooky season!
Create your own adorable ceramic ghost using easy hand-building techniques. Whether you make it spooky, sweet, quirky, or completely your own, no two ghosties are ever alike!

Our highly requested Clay Gnome workshop is finally here! ✨✨✨

Join us for a fun and relaxing handbuilding workshop where you’ll create your very own ceramic gnome from clay. You’ll shape, assemble, and personalize your gnome using beginner-friendly handbuilding techniques before bringing it to life with colourful underglazes during the same session.

✨ Choose to create a glowing gnome lantern or a whimsical decorative gnome to display in your home or garden.

We will guide you step-by-step through the entire process, making this workshop perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike. Every gnome will have its own unique personality, making each creation truly one of a kind.

After the workshop, your gnome will be professionally clear glazed and kiln fired at The Kiln Room. Your finished piece will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–6 weeks.

We’re still trying to find the words. ❤️

Last Tuesday, we officially celebrated the Grand Opening of our new home at 457 Dundas Street... and what an incredible evening it was.

Nearly 200 people came through our doors to celebrate with us. Friends, family, students, fellow artists, neighbouring businesses, community leaders, and so many familiar and new faces. Every conversation, every hug, every kind word, and every smile reminded us why we do what we do.

Three years ago, The Kiln Room was just a dream. Since then, this beautiful community has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. This new studio isn’t just a larger space. It’s a place where creativity, connection, and belonging can continue to flourish.

To everyone who has taken a class, attended a workshop, shared our posts, recommended us to a friend, volunteered your time, collaborated with us, or simply believed in what we’re building... thank you. You are the reason we’re here.

To everyone who helped make the Grand Opening possible, thank you. We feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a supportive community.

We’re also still soaking in the fact that, just days after our opening, we welcomed thousands more visitors during StreetFest. It was a whirlwind of a week, and we’re only just beginning to process it all.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for celebrating this new chapter with us. We can’t wait to continue filling this space with muddy hands, shared laughter, beautiful creations, and memories that will last a lifetime.
