Elemental Claycation 32 is now all wrapped up! An incredible weekend of connection through creativity! The meals created conversations around flavour profiles and incredible visuals. The School House studio witnessed learning so many pottery techniques…taking risks, inspirations turning into own creations! Laughs, great discussions and all around a beautiful weekend! I truly have the best job…thank you to all that have joined me for a claycation and those dreaming of one day!

Another season of Claycations are starting tonight! There are people traveling through Saskatchewan to arrive to my heritage house, with a beautiful charcuterie board in a cozy space to connect through creativity this weekend! Clay, connection and chillaxing!

Bring on Elemental Claycation 32! Are you coming to a claycation sometime?

In 2022 about this time, I had an idea…I developed it, prototyped it, marketed it and in 4 years have hosted 31 Elemental Claycations! In the years since this video was created in August 2023, Elemental Claycation has evolved. I now host people in the School House Studio that is designed specifically for my pottery experiences.

I have spent the past 13 months recovering from my car accident trying to maintain my highway store and still off the Claycation experience. This weekend I am hosting two people for the weekend and I’m so excited that I am feeling so incredibly strong enough to offer the experience…a new season of claycations!

That being said…I have two claycations for 2026 with some space if you have been thinking of coming! November 20 has room for 1-2 people. November 27 has room for 3-4 more people! There will not be a claycation in December and all the 2027 dates are up til summer!

This video may be a few years old but the essence of the experience is exactly this and more!

Please tag your friends, family and anyone you think might want to escape to central Saskatchewan and have a one of a kind experience!

As I am working on building my strength, my endurance and my stamina…I threw a 6” piece of clay and made a bowl bigger than my head…haven’t done this for over a year!

bowl!

A little colour. A little creativity. A whole lot of connection. ❤️

One of my favourite features in the School House Studio is this long table made from 2-inch coloured squares, all sealed beneath resin.

So many individual squares, colours and patterns coming together to create something beautiful.

Kind of like Claycation!

Everyone arrives with their own story, their own personality and their own ideas. We gather, laugh, learn, create and leave with something uniquely our own.

And you don’t have to be an artist to belong here!

I’m curious…if you had an entire weekend to be creative, what would you most want to try — pottery on the wheel, handbuilding, or a little of everything?

Tell me in the comments!

Our November 27–29 Claycation has room for a few more creative souls. Come on your own or bring someone along!

Within the past six months so much has been happening at Freba Pottery!

May: New video footage The Lost Girl's Guide to Finding the World Creative Saskatchewan

June: designated an Economusee Cecs Sk

July/August/September/October: recovering at Kinetic and getting stronger in the studio

As we are moving into Thanksgiving I have so many things I’m grateful for as listed above. But on a deeper level the video project with Ashlyn George was made possible with thanks to Creative Saskatchewan and Economusee Network.

I am grateful to all of you have been following my journey and I’m so excited that this video gives you a glimpse into my process!

So what exactly happens at an Elemental Claycation?

You arrive Friday evening and settle into the 1919 heritage house.

Then we spend the weekend creating — handbuilding, working at the wheel, eating good food, laughing, slowing down and seeing what happens when you give yourself permission to simply make.

You don’t have to be artistic.
You don’t have to know how to use a pottery wheel.
That’s my job.

I have space for a few more guests November 27–29.

If you’re wondering whether Claycation would be right for you, send me a message and ask me anything. And if November doesn’t work, you’ll find other upcoming dates on my website.

What if you put November 27–29 on the calendar and just went?

A weekend in rural Saskatchewan. Good food. A beautiful old house. Lots of clay. Time at the wheel. Laughter. Creating. And time with people you don’t get nearly enough time with.

I already have one guest joining me for the November 27–29 Elemental Claycation, and I would love to welcome a few more.

You don’t need pottery experience. You just need to come ready to play, create and spend a weekend doing something completely different.

Who would you bring?

Send this to them — and if November 27–29 has you curious check out my profile for the website. Other upcoming dates are also on the Freba Pottery website. www.frebapottery.com
