It’s been a busy weekend! I started prepping for my holiday markets & made a total of 85 lotion bars (unscented & lavender) & 45 paw bars (for dogs & cats)! All labeled & packaged up. Lotion bars are basically lotion in solid form. You rub them in your hands, the warmth from your body melts them & you rub that on your body. You need more, you rub more. Since these are solid, you can fly with them in your carry-on without any hassles. Four basic ingredients.
Three items down, a million to go!!

Some more book soaps for those who love reading! Made with detergent-free olive oil & triple butter soap bases in 3 colours & scented in 3 different fragrances. The brown books pull you back in time to historic libraries with a blend of cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver & Elemi. The green books are scented in a smooth warm & sophisticated brandy scent. The red books are scented in a blend of tart apples & strawberries combined with the warmth of cinnamon & allspice.

NEW FOAMING SCRUBS!! Debuting 3 new foaming scrubs! An activated charcoal facial sugar scrub with Tea Tree essential oil, a body sugar scrub with poppy seeds & scented in Sweet Orange essential oil & a refreshing Epsom salt foot scrub with cooling menthol, Peppermint & Tea Tree essential oils. The activated charcoal scrub & poppy seed body scrub jars are 80 gm while the cooling foot scrub jar is 100 gm. Available individually or as a set of 3 (one of each type). Dm to order.

We are open till 5 pm & we are outdoors in the parking lot/driveway. This festival is free to the public & is for all ages. The festival sponsors are Toronto Pearson & Great Lakes Brewery.

Happening this Saturday July 11th. My first market this summer (& probably my last as I don’t do well with heat - lol!). The Creative Festival at the Neilson Park Creative Centre, 56 Neilson Drive, Etobicoke. Event runs from 11:30 am to 5 pm & is an outdoor event. This festival is free to the public & is for all ages. The festival sponsors are Toronto Pearson & Great Lakes Brewery. Come on over & check out all the vendors & enjoy the activities. I’ll be debuting some new scrubs so come & check them out.

My first cold processed soaps!! I’ve always been making detergent-free melt & pour soaps because it didn’t involve working with lye (sodium hydroxide) & was safer for a beginner. But I’ve always wanted to learn how to make CP soaps - just because! I was too scared to try it alone at home first the first because of the lye. So I finally took a class & made my first CP soaps! These were made with olive oil, coconut oil, Shea butter & castor oil. Coloured with red clay & scented with a blend of eucalyptus, lavender & spearmint essential oils. Now I have to wait for four very long weeks for the soaps to cure before they can be used. Patience is so NOT my middle name & while I enjoyed learning how to make these & I might make some more, but I think melt & pour will remain my true love.

Plenty of activities for the kids including inflatables & Pawsitively Pets for Kids. Check out the various local vendors with their beautiful products. No entry fee for the markets, you need to purchase wristbands for kids to use the inflatables. Hope to see you here!
