I don’t know any of these people.
They’re not my patients and I have no intake and no formal information, I don’t go to their profiles and I don’t search them, I just tell them what I see from their tongues.
This is Chinese medicine theory and theory alone, it isn’t intuitive. And what I suspect based on theory how it would show up into their lives.
My favorite class in undergrad was social psychology.
We had to go out into the world and break social norms and then write about how it made us feel, and I spent that semester watching my classmates do the craziest things all over campus and watching how people reacted to them. I think about that class every time someone comes into my comments ready to roast me and then stops halfway through because they recognize themselves in what I said.
Chinese medicine changed my life. It’s my favorite medicine and my favorite theories and I love sharing it with people, and it isn’t easy taking these concepts and putting them into bite size.
One of my teachers said if you ever want to know everything don’t study Chinese medicine, it’s a humbling medicine.
I never claim to know everything, but this is what happens when you take something that’s been observed for thousands of years and hold it up to a stranger’s tongue or share how diagnostics work in 5 Elemental Theory.
