when Mrs Perdix visits places where perdix products have been installed, she sometimes discovers ideas she could never have imagined while designing them.

good design also respects the installer.

mrs perdix does not design luminaires from behind a desk alone.

she works at the front. she speaks with electricians. she joins service assignments. she opens luminaires, studies connections and experiences what happens when design meets reality.

because a luminaire is not only made for the person who sees it.

it is also made for the hands that install it, the electrician who must understand it and the technician who may need to repair it years later.

simple installation. logical construction. accessible connections. replaceable components.

these details may remain invisible after installation, but they are an essential part of good design.

this direct experience gives mrs perdix a perspective rarely found in the lighting industry. every conversation, every installation and every service assignment becomes part of the next product development.

what does humanity look like from above?

light.

From far enough away, we disappear.

* you cannot see the people
* you cannot see the rooms
* you cannot see the architecture

But you can see where life is happening.
Because there is light.

Across cities, streets and homes, millions of individual sources become one enormous map of human presence.

And behind every point of light, something is happening.

* someone is awake
* someone is working
* someone is arriving home
* someone is talking
* someone is creating
* someone is simply living

We use light so naturally that we almost forget how deeply it shapes our lives. It helps us see, but it also changes how we feel.

It creates atmosphere
It gives orientation
It reveals colour and form
It influences our rhythm
It can make us feel alert, calm, comfortable or connected.

That is why light can never be reduced to brightness alone.

There is light we measure and there is light we experience.

That space between the two is where perdix begins.

A beautiful luminaire sitting somewhere in a catalogue does not help a project. Neither does one arriving three weeks too late. What matters is being there when the site is ready.

a few selfies | great stories 📸

When we launched our little selfie challenge, we didn’t know if anyone would actually stop and join in.

Some of you did.

Thank you. Every selfie made us smile.

There was just one request we received more than once:

“Please don’t post my picture.”

Some of you work for competitors. Others simply prefer to keep their private lives private.

We completely understand.

Respecting people’s privacy is simply part of who we are. So today, we let a few cartoon characters step in instead. 📸

They represent everyone who stopped, smiled and shared a selfie with us.
