Everest Update: team and completed their second rotation on Everest 💪

The team moved through the recently reopened Khumbu Icefall and made it safely to Camp 1 in cold, windy conditions. We continued the push through Camp 2 and reached approx. 7,300m at Camp 3, before descending back to Base Camp.

We’re now resting at Base Camp, recovering properly and preparing for the next phase. In a few days we’ll repeat the same route again, continuing acclimatization and step by step working our way toward the summit of Mount Everest 🏔️

The piece revisits a defining moment in mountaineering history—Hermann Buhl’s 1953 ascent of Nanga Parbat—and the HP Hercules watch that accompanied him to the summit.

A dial like no other – hand painted for a unique timepiece

At HP Hercules, every unique piece begins with a vision. Today, we are pleased to share a special moment from our workshop.

With the kind permission of our client, we are delighted to present a glimpse of a hand-painted dial created for a one-of-a-kind timepiece currently in the making. Each brushstroke reflects patience, precision and dedication. The painting of this dial alone required more than 20 hours of meticulous work to complete.

The dial will now be forwarded to the next stage of its journey, where its indices and logo will be carefully added before it continues towards becoming a finished timepiece.

Hand-painting a dial is a rare and demanding craft. It transforms the watch face into a miniature canvas where art meets horology, resulting in a piece that can never truly be replicated.
