Fluffy the Spider is spinning up a storm in the center, but Olly the Oloid, in the lower left, knows not to strut about too much in the presence of an attractive arachnid. On another day, we can see Olly in action, and for now the AHA website https://www.aha-zurich.ch/en/product/bronze-oloide/ can clue you in. There are less expensive Oloids made of stone and wood, and you can ask about them!

“It’s the dog days of August,” says Gina, AHA’s Virtual Spokesdog, “And everybody has to find a way to beat the heat! When I am not lounging about in the pristine snow of a Swiss Alp, I find the best way to cool off is to chill out in the living room with an extremely cool toy from AHA! The one I have been playing with is the Zometool Creator! Even with my furry doggy paws, I can assemble all sorts of really cool geometric shapes with this kit. Check out www.aha-zurich.ch and look up the Zometool. There is no better way to chill — the Zometool turned me from a hot dog to a pup-cicle in less than 30 minutes!” (Your actual cooling off time may vary, as, last time we checked, you were not a Virtual Spokesdog. But the Zometool does take one’s mind off the heat, and is just a few clicks away on the AHA website!)

Gina the AHA Virtual Spokesdog was traveling down the Highway Buddha the other day (see picture, below in the Comments section) and came across Toby Gray, (who she likes to call T-Bone Gray) performing a tune first performed by the Great Society called “White Rabbit.” She decided to shoot a video of Toby singing it, and used one of AHA’s Swiss-made Pentakis Sixtyfold Kaleidoscopes to do the psychedelic special effects at the beginning and end of the video. “AHA still has a few left in stock, if you are interested,” Gina said, as she wandered off further on the road, looking for a White Rabbit to keep her company.

This appealing geometrical object was created by AHA using the Zometool Creator. There are 4 different Zometool Creator sets available. Set 1 contains 246 pieces, Set 2 has 492 pieces, Set 3 contains 738 parts, and Set 4 (the Advanced Mathamatics Set) has a whopping 1248 pieces for you to create hyperspace projections, Fullerenes, and molecular models of quasi-crystals with. Why settle for a jigsaw puzzle when you could be creating a profusion of geometrical concepts? Gina the AHA Virtual Spokesdog says “Don’t forget about the 970-piece Zoomtool Hyperdo. I get so hot and bothered constructing complex 3D geometrical shapes with it that afterwards, I have to lay down in a snow bank to cool off. AHA is located on Spiegelgasse, a Zurich street with a lot of history. At one end is the Cabaret Voltaire, which in 1916 was the hottest Dadaist nightclub in town: Tristan Tzara, Marcel Janco, and Jean Arp were just a few of its founding members. And at the same time that was going on down the street, Vladimir Lenin and his wifei were living in apartment directly over where AHA's brick-and-mortar store resides today! That's why there is a little Lenin statue at the base of AHA's window display!
