This is a cotton chemise, around c. 1920. Trimmed at the top with a crocheted lace, The lovely piece closes at the crotch with three original mother-of-pearl buttons and can be worn as elegant lingerie or a fine layering garment.

Rare
Absolute classic original 1930s casual sportswear tennis-style bright white cotton canvas shirt-waister dress that has everything classic from that era.

The kickpleats, the collar, the glass buttons with molded Scottie doggs, and the little breast pocket.

The construction of the front fastening is typical of the workwear dresses of the time. The buttons are decorative rather than functional, and it fastens with original, strong and intact press snaps.
Has a belt loop on each side.

Measurements:

Waist: 31 inches measured at top seam of waistband. The waistband flares out in line with the skirt.

Hip: 42 inches measured nine inches down from the top seam of waistband

Length Shoulder to hem: 44 inches with a 3/4 inch hem

Length of bodice down centre back nape of neck to top of waistband: 16 inches

Armpit to armpit flat and doubled: 42 inches

Bust measured three inches down from armpit: 40 inches

Condition:
Excellent condition, with a few minor flaws. Clean and ready to wear
Has belt loops but no belt
There is a ghost stitch line under the arms where the top hand been previously taken in and let out again.
Similarly at the bottom part of the crease of the pleats in the skirt.
There is a tiny rust mark hidden in one of the back pleats

1940s Reproduction Royal Vintage shoes green with decorative buttons size Eu 37
