052 Library Extension, Bad Freienwalde/Germany; Competition 2017 - As an addition, the existing building will receive a library building for a wide variety of media. The building has three floors above ground, each with three triangular windows and a door leading to adjoining rooms and the existing building. On each floor there is a staircase at the triangular window and a kinked wall (room corner) that is turned 45 degrees to the square floor plan. On each floor, the position of the kinked wall and the staircase changes. The staircase leads from the outer corner to the inner corner of the kinked wall. This also forms a continuous load transfer in the middle.
