FIFA DEFENDS REFEREES, INSISTS WORLD CUP OFFICIATING REMAINS INDEPENDENT βš–οΈ

FIFA has thrown its full support behind the officials at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, rejecting claims that refereeing decisions have been influenced by external forces.

Speaking on the controversy surrounding Argentina's match against Egypt, FIFA's Chief Refereeing Officer Pierluigi Collina stressed that the integrity of match officials must not be questioned.
