Choosing an AI Vision Inspection System? Start With How It Fits Your Line.
If you're a packaging line manager, you've probably seen what happens when QC is left to the human eye alone.
A bottle with a tiny crack slips through. A cap with a missing ring ends up in a batch. A preform with a burr passes without notice.
It's not about your team being careless. It's that some defects are simply hard to catch consistently—especially at speed. And when mistakes reach your customer, they become your problem.
That's where AI vision inspection equipment changes things. Instead of relying on trained inspectors alone, you pair them with AI-powered cameras that check each bottle, cap, or preform as it moves through the line.

**Where Does It Sit?**
AI vision inspection machines are usually integrated after existing processing steps—such as after filling or as a standalone station in a packaging area. They're designed for indoor factory environments with normal temperature and humidity. In other words, they don't need special conditions to operate, but they do need sensible positioning on your floor.
Most machines also need supporting equipment like a material handling system to feed products through. That means you'll want to plan for enough space—not just for the machine itself but for the feeding and sorting mechanisms around it.
**What Can It Actually Inspect?**
Depending on what you produce, the inspection scope can be tailored:

**One Practical Note for Buyers**
Before choosing a system, map your line's actual layout. Because these machines are complete pieces of equipment, they need reserved space—not just a surface to sit on.
