In this episode, our host visits the workshop of Mao Yizhen, a young inheritor of Jinling Flower Arranging, to experience a peaceful summer floral session.
More than just arranging blooms, this ancient craft is a lesson in Eastern philosophy:
✂️ The Art of Choice: Trimming away the excess to highlight a few elegant stems.
🍃 Natural Harmony: Adjusting angles so every flower breathes and interacts in balance.
✨ Daoism in Life: Respecting the true nature of plants without artificial restraint—a true embodiment of "following the laws of Nature."
Dated back to the Southern Dynasties when a prince preserved lotuses in copper vessels, this ancient art has found a new home among today's youth as a soothing summer ritual.
