**Democracy and the Navy!**
What comes to mind when you think of the civilization of ancient Athens?
A trireme cruising across the Aegean may look almost like a leisurely holiday scene — but in reality, it carried the fate of a city fighting with its back against the wall, in a desperate struggle for survival!
Using precise 3D printing technology, I always try to incorporate as much detail as possible while keeping the number of separate parts to a minimum. This has long been one of my design philosophies.
The sail is a good example. Besides trying to keep it as a single piece during the design process, I also experimented quite a lot with how to capture the effect of wind filling and moving the sail. Simply securing the finished sail to the metal mast with thread already gives it a surprisingly convincing and dynamic appearance.
Likewise, I never want the builder to feel as though they are simply repeating the same mechanical process over and over again. When designing the crew, I therefore tried to give every individual figure his own unique moment — a small snapshot of life aboard the ship.
That said, some stages of construction are inevitably more demanding. The arrangement of the middle-tier oarsmen and the attachment of their oars are probably the most complicated parts of the entire assembly.

使用精确的3D打印工艺，尽可能的将更多地细节体现在少量的分件上，我一直都使用这样的哲学来做事，例如船帆的生成，除了尽力在绘图中保持一个整体，如何表现风吹动的效果也是相当在意的在做各种尝试，然后简单用线绳固定到金属桅杆上已经可以得到不错的表现力；同样，我也不希望作者体验到的是机械复制一般的排列分布，因此我在设计上尽可能让每一个个体人物都有自己的一瞬间；但有些工作仍旧繁复：例如中层桨手的布置和船桨的黏结是其中最复杂的工序。
