Ankle arthritis, a degenerative disease that affects millions worldwide, poses a significant threat to health. However, it has long been plagued by challenges such as an unclear etiology and insufficient treatment options. In response, the WEGO Orthopedic team embarked on a series of innovative studies, leading to remarkable breakthroughs:
Three-Dimensional Plantar Pressure Mapping: Pioneering the measurement of postural foot pressure, this method allows for precise assessment of ankle joints.
Revealing Pathological Mechanisms: Our research has unveiled new disease mechanisms, pioneering novel treatment approaches, particularly in preserving ankle integrity.
Microscale Exploration: The development of self-regenerating hydration microspheres significantly delays or even avoids the need for surgical intervention in arthritis cases.
WEGO Orthopedic Products has established China's largest weight-bearing CT imaging database for the foot and ankle. This pioneering work has resulted in the publication of 42 SCI papers and the granting of 15 patents. We have also received substantial research funding for this venture. Our achievements are applied in over 200 medical institutions nationwide, and we have trained close to ten thousand physicians.
