My last night in Bogota was another 15 course tasting dinner with wine pairings. El Cielo is a Michelin star restaurant with locations in Washington DC and Miami. Lucky for me. The one in Bogotá is five times less expensive than the others. It was the perfect way to cap off an amazing trip with new and old friends. Thank you Holly for being an incredible host. I will definitely be back to Columbia

Holly and I met my long-time friend and colleague from Nordstrom for breakfast and a stroll through the mall. I particularly love Boomer in the stroller.

Over 200 years ago, a Catholic Church was moved stone by stone to the top of a Monserrate. You take a cable card to the top and the views of Bogota were breathtaking. It was extra special because all the Christmas decorations were still up. Thank you Holly Zee for sharing your beautiful home with me.

We came for a drink and stayed for the great live band and people watching at Andres carne de res DC. I love this sign that describes us: Good, Beautiful and a Little Expensive!

We just arrived back in Bogota and of coarse I’m starving. We had lunch at the original market of the workers of Bogota. The Ajiaco was awesome.

Last night we went to the most amazing ceviche restaurant in the Hidden City. A small, intimate atmosphere, the amazing women running the line, and the friendly bartender and waiters made it a phenomenal experience a must for any foodie coming to Cartagena. Of course, Holly was kind enough to help me walk off dinner with some fabulous cocktails with our new friend Evan, and a very long tour through the city.

We arrived in Kurt to hang out this morning, and the weather insights are spectacular. From the colorful houses to the rich history of the hidden city and the forts that protect it and the historical Catholic Church on the mountain top. Sadly, Holly worked today while I explore the city.

I got up early and went to the farmers market in Bogotá. It was phenomenal so many different types of fruits and vegetables. Amazing quality crazy inexpensive prices. You can even buy chopped up vegetables that are prepared to be dropped into soups, stews, and salads. It put Wegmans and Gelson’s to shame.

I hopefully I’m doing enough walking because fresh empanadas from the street vendor, coffee, and the amazing fruit here is addictive. I’m definitely eating my way through Columbia.

My first day in Bogota Colombia was awesome. i’m walking toward the old city, checking out the famous graffiti, trying several of the 400+ fruits from Columbia, visiting the Botero and Modern Art Museums. I tried several Columbian coffees. Thank you Holly Zee for the invite.
