Prenosimo zapis Jele Jančić Starc o tiskanju prvog broja "Žene u borbi" tijekom održavanja Prve konferencije Antifašističke fronte žena Hrvatske, održane u Otočcu i selu Prozor, 11. i 12. lipnja 1943. godine:

The first issue of the "Woman in Struggle. Newsletter of the Antifascist Front of Women in Croatia" was published in June 1943 in the building of the Agitprop of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Croatia. The wooden printing house was hidden deep in the forests of Mt. Javornica, near the Military-Partisan Hospital no. 7 and the village of Drežnica. The first editor of the newspaper was Olga Kovačić-Žoga, while the author of the iconic cover was famous, socially engaged Croatian painter Franjo Mraz. The newspaper had 20 pages, and the circulation of the first issues ranged from 2000 to 2500 copies.
Although the Agitprop building was burned down in 1944 and left unmarked, the memory of it has been preserved by the local inhabitants to this day. This site will be one of the locations of our archaeological research.
What follows are memoirs of Jela Jančić Starc about the production of the first issue of "Woman in Struggle" for the First Conference of the Antifascist Front of Women of Croatia, held in Otočac and Prozor, June 11-12, 1943:
"At Mt. Javornica, there are partisan hospitals, warehouses and dugouts in the forest. There is a central printing press as well, with real machines powered by people. We were tasked with making sure that the 'Woman in Struggle' would be distributed to women at the first conference. This is what we did: we made adjustments, proof-readings, and together with the printing workers, we chose the letters and everything else that was needed.

During the lunch break [at the conference] - what a joy! Comrade Zdenka Petrovic arrived by a cart from Javornica and brought in a freshly printed new newspaper 'Woman in Struggle' - a newsletter of women in Croatia. The organization worked exactly as we had planned in the printing press. We can mention here that the paper for this issue was obtained by comrades from non-liberated districts - Primorje and Gorski Kotar. We were proud of our journal and the fact that we contributed to it. "
