Σκοπός των εργαστηρίων να γνωρίσουμε κάποια κυπριακά βότανα τζιαι τες παραδοσιακές αλλά τζιαι σύγχρονες χρήσεις τους, να μάθουμε να κάμνουμε τσιάι με το σωστό τρόπο για διαφυλάξουμε τες θεραπευτικές ιδιότητες τους τζιαι να κάμουμεν αρωματικά πουγκιά που ενα στολίσουμε με φυσικές μεθόδους.

The aim of these workshops is to get familiar with some local herbs and their traditional and contemporary uses, to learn to brew tea.correctly in order to preserve the herbs' therapeutic properties and make aromatic sachets which we will decorate using natural methods.

Hello friends,
As most of you would have probably noticed, the price of everything has gone up significantly and as you guessed it, so have our costs of running the business- raw materials, lab testing, utilities, rent and of course the fees of the people we work with. Which means that its time to readjust our prices.
It is never easy for us to raise our prices, as we want to keep our products affordable and we know that you are being affected by the inflation as much as we are, but here we are! After much consideration and stretching it for far too long, we will be raising our prices- just enough to keep our business financially viable-which means that now is a good time to stock up, as prices will change on the 1st of September.

Οπότε μετα που πολλή σκέψη, τζιαι αφού το εκρατήσαμεν έτσι για πολλά παραπάνω που όσο έπρεπε, θα αυξήσουμε τες τιμές μας, τόσο οσο για να μπορούμε να διατηρήσουμε την βιωσιμότητα της επιχείρησης μας.

So,i have been wanting to share more of the stuff I make as a herbal medicine student but at the same time I honestly don't have the capacity (and if I'm honest any desire) to film, edit, make reels, abide by the ever changing rules of this platform etc. And I noticed that since i don't have the time to produce aesthetically pleasing content to appease the gods of Instagram, that I just stopped posting all together.
However I have no interest in becoming viral, my only aim is to put good info out there, so in an effort to reconnect to you through this platform, I ll just post in whatever form is easier , even if it means I have to speaknon camera 😬 and I hope that you are still finding the information interesting and useful.
This is a little care package I prepared for a friend who is about to undergo chemo, to infuse the process with a bit of simple plant love magic 🤍

Life lately has been hectic and beautiful and tiring and exciting. We are finally living on the land, which has been my dream since I can remember. It doesn't look how I thought it would and its not where we were planning to move on (thats a whole other story) but we are lucky enough to be rooting ourselves on a beautiful piece of land near the sea, where our olive trees grow.
Home is a complicated and loaded concept for me, maybe because capitalism destroyed many places I used to consider home or because I come from a family who carries the pain of displacement.
Lately I'm choosing to reclaim home as my connection to my own body and to my loved ones.
Here's to the land beneath my feet that always provides a physical home, the friends (humans,animals and plants) whose hugs feel like home and to this amazing body that allows me to take my home with me wherever I go.
Also here's to you that keep supporting my little business even when I not posting business related content 😅 🩷

What an amazing round of workshops it has been!
Kitchen medicine practices is my favourite thing to share.
It was the way of our grandmothers and the way of the future, for that I'm sure, so keep spreading the knowledge and the plants' love with your loved ones.

Ok so here it is!
Admittedly not the most attractive dish I made but all the benefits it provides are just outstanding, not to mention that it's a proper comfort food during the colder days.

🍲Start by slicing apples in small pieces and cooking them over medium fire in a pot with a tablespoon of water. It will take a few minutes depending on the kind of apples you have at hand (any apple will do except green ones I guess). Preferably leave the skin on, but if you want to peel it it's still ok. Keep cooking and stirring until they become soft or mush them using a fork (again this depends on the variety) Once they are soft enough add some oats if you want to (you can use gf oats if your gut is extra sensitive) and some water and cook for a few mYouore minutes until it looks like porridge.You can also skip oats and have the stewed apple on its own. Then add your spices-loads of it, cinnamon, ginger powder, cardamom and a bit of coriander powder. If you neeed to add something to make it more tasty I would say try and keep it to the minimum. The beauty of this recipe lies in it's simplicity- and in my experience, my body has been enjoying it more and more as the days go by. Tip- you can make a few days worth and put it in the fridge- warming up what you need each morning.

🍎 Apples are packed with pectin, a soluble fibre which feeds gut bacteria, essentially acting as a prebiotic; food that your probiotics need to stay alive. Soluble fibre helps to lower LDL cholesterol by binding to fats in the gut and removing them. More importantly it helps you feel full for longer by slowing sugar absorption and gastric emptying, improving thus insuline sensitivity.
The warming herbs which we use support digestion by helping to warm and relax the digestive tract, prevent bloating and promote elimination. They are perfect to have first thing in the morning, especially during winter. Cinnamon in particular is very beneficial to regulating blood sugar and ginger is just a wonderful help for supporting your immune system and preventing colds, but if you are not a fan of these spices, you can play a little with other carminatives such as clove, orange zest or fennel.
