Savvas Pottery takes its name from our founder,Savvas Georgiades who, with his son, Panicos, established the business in Paphos in 1976. Savvas learned the craft with Kerameus Pottery in Kyrenia - having started in 1948, and after establishing his reputation as one of the best potters in Cyprus, he opened his own pottery near Kyrenia 1964 under his own name "Savvas Pottery"

The 1974 war changed everything - Savvas moved his family to Paphos in 1976 where he and his family established Savvas Pottery (Paphos) Limited at its current premises in Koloni, on the outskirts of Paphos town. Savvas retired in 1991 and handed the business over to his son, Panicos, who had joined in 1986, having completed his studies in Ceramic Engineering in what was West Germany. Today, Savvas Pottery remains true to its heritage and the traditional potters craft - producing the finest pieces of pottery and ceramics in Cyprus. Every piece is handmade, hand-painted and finished by craftsmen and women in the Koloni premises.
