Breaking down my full watercolor process 👇
I start with a detailed sketch.
First later is wet on wet painting, with raw sienna + burned sienna + ochre
First shadows are painted with Payne’s Grey
I then add contrast with more raw sienna and burned sienna.
I paint the shadows again for depth and texture with payne’s grey + quinadicrone purple.
I add the bricks texture with raw sienna + burned sienna.
I paint the window frames with payne’s grey + dark brown.

As an architect and artist, I have struggled with the same problem as everyone else: the pain and that callus on my finger from gripping a pen all day. Twelve years ago, I started designing the most comfortable pen possible to fix it.

After hundreds of prototypes, two 3D printers, and tens of kg of filament, the final design is finally here. The shape is based on the actual angles of our fingers; it feels natural because it is designed to fit where your fingers rest, not just to look good.
It holds BIC ballpoint inserts, so it is reliable, globally accessible, and easily refillable!

I am running a first small-batch release as for the special price of €15 (including shipping!, I’m trying to keep it as affordable as possible)

I just sold three original paintings 👇
My original watercolor artworks:
“Pillars, Rome”
“Batican, Rome”
And my original coloring pencils artwork:
“Old House, Klirou”
were sold this weekend to two collectors (UK and USA) 😊
I carefully pack them with care, first removing them from their frames so to reduce shipping costs and the risk of breaking.
I use two sheets of foamboard, protective paper, a waterproof sleeve, and warning stickers on the envelope to make sure everything arrives in perfect condition.
They will soon be available as 10x limited edition prints on my website.

Today I challenged myself to paint the river Clarios in plein-air, using it’s own water 👇
(I usually paint architecture and urban portraits, nature is lind of rare for me)
I started with a quick but detailed sketch using my rotring 800 mechanical pencil, on my arches (half) panoramic fine grain block.
I painted the water with a wet on wet watercolour technique, so to get smooth shading and color transitions, but also to give it a dreamy texture.
I then painted the first layer to set the colors, and added contrast where needed, as an underpainting, to set the lights and shadows.
I continued by covering everything with the real colours amd painting all the tiny details to give depth to the painting.
I finished the painting by adding the final contrast.
