How do trees become forests? For that, communication is essential.
Trees communicate to grow, exchange nutrients, and avoid threats. Their underground network is a lifeline for young saplings in fully shaded forest parts, as bigger trees pump sugar, water, and other lifesaving resources into their roots.
Research has even found that Mother Trees act as hubs that can recognize their own kin.
Our partners from One Tree Planted have summarized some of the most impressive yet unknown ways trees communicate.
They are a nonprofit organization focused on global, and we are proud that we helped plant hundreds of trees on your behalf.
Thank you for all the donations that came with your order.
