3D portraits from North Korea from 2014-2018, by Beijing-based Slovenian photographer Matjaž Tančič collaborated with Koryo Studio. 10 new works shot in 2018 are included in the second edition.

Matjaž Tančič (1982) is a Slovenian photographer, who lives and creates between Beijing and Ljubljana. He began his path as a photojournalist for Mladina magazine. He won a Sony World Photography Organisation 2013 contest in the 3D category and won a Slovenia Press Photo award in 2012. He was among the 6 finalists in the 2009 „Google Photography Prize“ contest.

Spaces is composed of pages containing a white rectangle in a solid color frame. Each page is divided into three vertically foldable strips. As the reader folds and unfolds the strips, the white spaces open, close, divide and multiply, all the while colors are being added to and subtracted from the frame. Antonio Ladrillo invites us into his minimalistic visual world, in which a simple, everyday gesture becomes an act of profoundly poetic magic.

During the month of April, 2020 the artist downloaded and printed – on a home office printer – the front pages of a variety of international newspapers. Articles relating to the dominant news story were then redacted by hand using gold foil. This folder presents a remaking of four of these prints.

The Structures of Everyday Life takes its name from the second book in French historian Fernand Braudel’s trilogy, Civilization and Capitalism, 15th-18th Century. It presents history as being made up of large systems that evolve slowly over time and suggests that wars, famines and plagues can often distract from deeper, more significant developments in our societies.

The book in the painting is not only a bridge between literature and visual art, it also opens up content, references and references in the paintings that explain their background and provide insight into the attitude of the painters. In this way, the books and the paintings engage in an entertaining dialogue between text and image through cultural history.

Jamie Camplin studied art history at Cambridge and was programme manager at the publishing house Thames & Hudson for many years. Maria Renauro works as a picture editor at the same publishing house.

It also deals more widely with any other forms of books related to the art field. the publication brings together artists, publishers, gallery owners, academics, printers, bookbinders, booksellers, distributors, etc. as personalities with diverse practices and intentions, all serving a common context.

'publication' it’s interviews, talks, and book presentations that give a close look at editorial projects. Considering the book as an alternative space of expression and exhibition, each issue offers carte blanche to young and more established artists who have the opportunity to show their work through pages entirely dedicated to their project. publication r***e is the first volume of a multidisciplinary project aimed to give artists’ editions a “public” status, open, accessible to all, and for the use of all.

A Letter to My Friend,

Every day amid COVID-19 seems so otherworldly, the new reality is with a hint of chaos and a surreal, intensified sense of alienation. The crisis has demanded collective changes in behaviour and placed significant psychological distress on individuals. These unprecedented times face each and every one of us with shared and unique experiences.

I started this short series in the beginning of the lockdown in Denmark and therefore the project was done during quarantine. The work should be seen as a post-pandemic or post-humanist practice. As we have always been projecting outside of us, when the pandemic threw us into ourselves and faced us with seclusion, we had the chance to come into contact with what's going on around us inside us, to re-examine the boundaries minds, and to anticipate the heterogeneity of consciousness.

In addition to challenging the existing viewpoints, I hope my work would inspire the pursuit of a new balance to the conflicted within the self and between the self and otherness, as well as to provide an outlook to imagine a brighter future. I wish you all the best.

CART SERIES is a project that presents collected objects as books in various forms. The second theme is Moving numbers.

We gathered together dice, a lotto shaker, a clock, and a calendar, which are all ‘number-based objects with movement’. Each object has a shape according to a different number, and their arrangement changes in interesting ways based on the pressure that is applied. The objects are printed to scale in a single color to draw attention to their shapes. The cover also has a number plate that can be turned so that the title of the book and the numbers can be viewed in turn.

Now is the Past is jointly published with There is No Future by the same artist, Hai Hsin Huang. While There is No Future vividly depicts the crowds of curious visitors of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Now is the Past blows-up and focuses on the faces of the personages.

nos:books printed the miniature book by traditional letterpress machines, making you look closer to each and every masterly portraits. The two books, big and small, genuinely capture Huang’s macro- and micro-scopic views of the world.
