Our partner, the Wasem Winery in Ingelheim, has an exciting story to tell. Already Charlemagne brought red wine cultivation to Ingelheim, which today officially bears the nickname "red wine town".🍷

For centuries, the Wasem family has devoted itself to winegrowing, as can be proved since 1726. The foundation for today's business was laid by the great-grandfather in 1912, who was considered the first winemaker to bottle and successfully market his wines himself. His son, in turn, became known as a preservation grower of the Frühburgunder, which had almost disappeared in the 60s. The next generation built up a diverse assortment and in 2009 acquired the Engelthal monastery, where today, among other things, the winery's own restaurant is located.

In 2019, there was again a generational change: the brothers Julius and Philipp Wasem now run the business. How they innovatively continue the tradition today, more on that soon.🔍
