THE REINVENTION OF SCROLLS
Long before publishing books in their current form, scrolls were the format of choice to reproduce content. Reviving this format is cool in so many ways:

Founded in 2015 in Berlin, Germany, we produce, manufacture and publish scrolls. Design, idea and realization are all originally and uniquely created by Round not Square. An empty scroll would be – just like an empty book – useless. As every publishing house we would be nothing without our authors and the artists we are lucky to be working with. SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
Round not Square was founded by Ioan and Antonia. That’s us. We have been spending the last year on developing our concept for an outstanding book design. We checked out new printing technologies, materials and designs and developed ideas and contents. Ioan is French and is in charge of all design issues, inventions and numbers. Antonia is German. She is much more into communications and content. We do everything by ourselves and we are proud to have founded a small owner-managed and very independent publishing house. OUR BOOKS
All our books are printed in Berlin to highest quality standards and they are entirely handbound.
