Meher lives in London and Berlin followed her passion for craft and textiles working with women who pass their skills through generations. Meher Kakalia, born in Karachi, left her home town to study in London. After a few years in the world of Finance, she left the City to pursue a more creative career. Driven by her passion for craft and tribal textiles, Meher started working with women who who practiced a rich heritage of embroidery dating back to the Moghuls. Having Sustainability and Human respect in mind, she set up her own Ateleir and where master craftspeople work from every background in a friendly and creative environment. A real challenge that Meher has achieved in an incredible way by remaining committed to her respect for tradition, empowering women, using sustainable and recycled material, limiting the use of toxic glue and most of all her love for fashion. Meher currently lives between London and Berlin with her lovely family.
