This breathable material offers comfort in the summer and warmth in the winter. Founded by Denitsa Popova, her fascination with wool, dyes and patterns is born from the legacy of her country, Bulgaria - a region rich with history in woolen goods. ntage Bulgarian rugs, of which the art is lost to time and are in finite supply. These are available at our flagship store in Berlin, across Europe and beyond – reaching and drawing in new people to our curious, stylish and ever growing community. Working with wool is a unique form of art that we honour, nurture and preserve. We bring together the tradition of wool in Bulgaria, the vintage rugs we rescue from obscurity and the modern patterns and designs we incorporate in our cozy blankets. Our Craft
For our blankets, we consciously source Merino wool. Every item is individually crafted passing through the hands of our small team. Staying true to the art of the craft and its mythical origins, manually perfecting every detail, to achieve the highest quality and to create an exquisite product that will last for decades. Our production takes place in a remote Bulgarian village where in а third generation family-run facility, the magic happens. The blankets are woven by craftsmen on traditional mechanical looms, carefully treated by dyers and rinsed in natural springs - all by hand in the old way. Our Heritage
Perelic holds a collection of vintage Bulgarian woolen rugs. With names like “kozyaci”, “kitenici”, “halishta” and “guberi” that sound like ancient spells, finding these special pieces is a quest, but also a cause. Now our archive has become a veritable museum, striving to preserve a craft on the brink of extinction, as well as such ethereal notions as the memory of wool, the tale of the thread, the touch of skilled hands.
