This book was published on the occasion of the Filmmuseum Düsseldorf’s exhibition “Mach Dir ein paar schöne Stunden…”; an exhibition of photographs retracing the history (and the stories of the Düsseldorf movie theatres.

This Magazine-like publication contains ten black and white photographs of the Belgian photographer Jean Paul Derrider (°1963) made with a large-format camera. Picturing the different places belonging to the movie-experience, the artist captures the magical atmosphere of these movie theatres.

Open Source Book: Accidental Beauty
Heesosung

The book “Accidental Beauty,” created from the perspective of graphic designer Heesosung, is a map that captures a journey of about four years to be made into its current form as an archive. The act of ‘sculpture collecting’ that evolved from the author’s aesthetic hobby is woven into her travels to various locations including Seoul, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Japan where she currently resides, inviting you into an experience of chasing sharp and irregular rare pieces within the rough cityscape.

Edition of 300 copies, printed and bound in Korea, with texts by Seo Yeon Park.

“Я заметил, что многие задают вопрос, можно ли сейчас писать стихи, и отвечают на него по-разному. Последние несколько лет я работал над двумя книгами — «артериями», которые продолжают мотивы моего первого сборника, но с большим уклоном в телесность, и «…из слов», построенной на диалогах и перекличках с другими авторами. «артерии» мне случилось закончить за несколько дней до 24 февраля. Я думал, что «повожусь» ещё с книгами до издания, но я совершенно не понимаю сейчас, смогу ли я ещё писать на том же поэтическом языке, а если смогу, то когда. Так что сегодня я забрал тираж книги-перевёртыша из типографии, и скоро, наверное, они будут где-нибудь доступны (сообщу). Пусть даже книга уже при рождении стала артефактом прошлого, субъективно это моя любимая работа и как автора и как издателя.

Книга включает в себя циклы визуальной поэзии «артерии» и «…из слов» петербургского поэта Павла Заруцкого. «артерии» фокусируются на исследовании телесности и её взаимодействия с речью/текстом; «…из слов» строятся на прямом диалоге с другими авторами и их работами. Стихотворения из этой книги публиковались в русской и зарубежной периодике, а также участвовали в международных выставках визуальной поэзии.

Hitoyoshi is in Kumamoto prefcture, Japan. It suffered sever flooding caused by heavy rains in 2020, leading to the disruptionm of multiple surrounding railway lines. Before certain sections are scheduled to resume operation in 2026, I documneted the state of the railways and their surroundings while repair work was underway.

This photobook collects the various fragments and moments I captured during my time there.

Trees are commas, is a short research-creation text in which the author observes six landscape photographs by Josh Müller.

Drawing inspiration from Roland Barthes’ article “Sur des photographies de Daniel Boudinet,” it explores the six images as if they formed a sentence and invokes poetic and theoretical motifs pertaining to the description of a subdued environment. Trees are commas, is a quiet book about an abstract walk and interconnected strata of meaning.

ANOSIA + Tassos Vrettos

A collaboration between photographer Vrettos and art collective ANOSIA, which “brings to the fore the intervening body which breaks into the confounds of a ‘normal’ functioning constitution of public space and disrupts civility.”

Full-colour reproduced photographs of riotous bodies in surreal, often provocative scenes staged in abandoned public spaces where the naked, often painted or masked figures blend together into a violent, erotic and carnivalesque mass of flesh.

With an introduction by Gertrude Liebfraumilch, who also provides an impish play script, a poem by Nikos Branidis, another poem by Tanya Varveri, and a text by Yorgia Karidi.
