Thank you B.Z.-Berlin for this feature on my current exhibition at KÖNIG GALERIE – taking a closer look at the "Mirror Penguins", what penguins show us about humans and human connections, and questions around reflection and perception.

The exhibition "YOU ARE NEVER REALLY ALONE" is still on view at St. Agnes in Berlin until August 23, so there’s still a little time to experience the works in the space.

📍 KÖNIG GALERIE
St. Agnes, Alexandrinenstr. 118–121, Berlin
Until 23.08.2026
Free admission

Very happy that another one of my Mirror Balloons has found its home in my dear friend Sugio Yamaguchi 🌏's recently opened café niwa paris in Paris 🎈

Together with the balloon already installed at wani, it's a real pleasure to see these works become part of spaces created with so much care, generosity, and craftsmanship.

If you're in Paris, make sure to stop by one – or both. Besides art, you'll find some of the most delicious pastries, food, and drinks, all thoughtfully prepared by Sugio and his wonderful team.

Cool off with "Circular Appearing Rooms" this summer 💦

Part of "Interactions 2026" at Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, the water pavilion invites visitors to step inside and move through a constantly changing arrangement of rooms. Walls of water rise and fall in different configurations, transforming the space from one moment to the next – sometimes enclosing you, sometimes leaving you outside.

Each year, "Interactions" offers new possibilities to engage with art through play, movement, and shared experience throughout the entire museum complex – encouraging visitors to actively participate, question familiar patterns, and discover what connects us.

"Interactions 2026"

"Moving Neon Cube" is currently on view at CCC OD as part of "L’idée des corps célestes", an exhibition bringing together contemporary artists whose practices echo Alexander Calder’s enduring interest in movement, lightness, balance, and transformation. The work is presented on loan from the Centre Pompidou.

“L’idée des corps célestes“
📍CCC OD, Tours (France)
July 10, 2026 – January 3, 2027

"Moving Neon Cube" consists of twelve neon cubes chained together in the shape of a large square on the ground. The cubes are angled at their junctions so as to give the impression that one cube is turning from one side to the next until it ends up on the same side as it started out from. The individual cubes light up momentarily in turn so that it looks as if a glowing cube were actually moving through the square in a continuous loop.

"Common Ground", presented by at Atelier Rosa in Munich last week – a pop-up exhibition in a former artist's studio, bringing together sculpture and painting across generations.

Coloured balloons hangs from the ceiling above people's heads, subtly moving with the circulation of air. Due to its shape and reflective surface, the balloons produce a distorted perspective of the surrounding space, similar to a fish-eye view. Only the roof seems to prevent the balloons from soaring into the air and expanding the reflection to the infinite.

Happy to be part of "Light Dialogues" with my work "Changing Neon Sculpture" at . Bringing together works from the SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen collection, the exhibition explores the many ways light shapes our perception.

In "Changing Neon Sculpture", a sequence of illuminated forms continuously shifts and transforms. Triggered by the movement of visitors, the changing pattern can suddenly freeze – inviting a moment of awareness and making the viewer an active part of the work.
