Medieval woodcut pulled straight off a 15th century manuscript and pressed permanently into skin. Jo Pontem Tattoo 鄒橋 works in a style that feels ancient by design — dense crosshatching, raw dotwork shading, and figures that carry the same eerie, folkloric energy as plague-era illustrations. Skeletons mid-dance, plague doctors on horseback, demons in procession — every piece looks like it was carved from wood before it was ever tattooed. The roughness is the point.
