One of the issues with historical brass instruments such as natural trumpets, cornettos or serpents is that they require quite a large hand span to fully cover the key holes.
For those of us with smaller hands, this is often uncomfortable and sometimes simply not possible. However, the owner of this natural
trumpet came up with a clever solution in the form of a key extension allowing full use. My colleague Wolfgang Kube fabricated the key and I installed it.

Eines der Probleme historischer Blechblasinstrumente wie Naturtrompeten, Cornetti oder Serpente besteht darin, dass sie einen relativ großen Handspan erfordern, um die Klappenlöcher vollständig abzudecken.
Für diejenigen von uns mit kleineren Händen ist das oft unbequem und manchmal nicht möglich. Die Besitzerin dieser Naturtrompete hat jedoch eine clevere Lösung gefunden: eine Klappenerweiterung, die die vollständige Nutzung ermöglicht. Mein Kollege Wolfgang Kube fertigte die Klappe an, und ich habe sie installiert.
