Challenge accepted. Thank you for nominating me and for teaching me patience and calmness. Thank you for being my role model and friend.

I stand in solidarity with women across the world who are oppressed, hurt, and killed, not only in Turkey, but all over the world, and whose perpetrators are protected by a patriarchal system that was built to suppress women.

It is on us to dismantle the systems that suppress us. I encourage everyone to share educational resources that you find helpful in understanding the oppressive systems we live in and how to change them. I for myself have recently rediscovered Simon de Beavoir's work titled "The Second S*x" which was written in 1949 but contains many observations that are still true today -surprisingly. If anyone is interested, I found some good German articles that summarize her thesis.
