⚽️ When “Kick” was published 9 years ago, (how can that be?!). I thought then it was a fabulous book about dreaming big from making the football boots, to actually wearing them. I still sell lots of copies.
⚽️ Finally, the next book is coming, in just a couple of weeks and I shave just sie by the weekend reading it. Oh my, what a book! I don’t know where to start. It’s all about football of which I’m not into, but you don’t t have to be into football to read it. It’s so much more. The main character dreams of becoming a professional footballer and has been scouted by a big football club. But when he finds a note in his new boots that is a cry for help from the person who made them, he discovers there are some ugly secrets in the game.
Chasing dreams and standing up for what you believe in are at the core of this fab book, along with family, friends abs team spirit. Honestly I haven’t read a book this good in a long while!
You don’t have to have read Kick first but it does give the backstory.
I’ll be ordering loads of copies!
