Whom are you supporting with your ordered mexican box this month? 🙌🏼
Arnulfo Mendoza Rosas, better known as Menros, is a 75-year-old artisan who lives with his family in the Villa de Zaachila municipality, Oaxaca.
The small ceramic workshop is the livelihood of his family, which has been affected by the pandemic. They have found it necessary to adjust a part of the workshop to live and the low income that has been earned is intended to partially cover basic needs. Given the situation, Arnulfo´s family has supported through the sale of homemade sweets and the sale of hand-painted textiles by their granddaughters, Daniela and Hannia.
“It is unfortunate to see how my efforts to fulfill a dream of transmitting all my knowledge [...] are not enough to fulfill it and I run out of strenght. The workshop is literally falling down in parts, in the rainy season it floods, the strong winds sometimes knock down sheets from the roof "
