In April, The Canadian Forces Europe observe the Month of the Military Child to recognize and celebrate the unique experiences, resilience, and sacrifices of children
in military families. They face unique challenges, such as frequent relocations, prolonged absences of loved ones due to deployments, and adapting to new communities and schools.
"Every Move Builds Strength. Every Challenge Builds Character."
WHY “TEAL UP”?
Teal was chosen as the colour for “Teal Up for the Month of the Military Child” because it represents the unity and inclusivity of all branches of the military in Canada. Teal incorporates the following symbolic colours:
BLUE for the Air Force
GREEN for the Army
BLUE & WHITE for the Navy.
By combining these colours, teal serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity and recognition for the diverse experiences of military families and children across all branches. It’s a unifying and inclusive color that honors their shared resilience and strength.
