Stiffening of the pegbox with a 4-sided milled ebony block, which was finally cut out on the inside. A very tricky project with great success in terms of sound and statics!

We have a special light source that is inserted through the F-hole to apply transmitted IR analysis to closed instruments. This way we don´t miss any old woodworm damage, as seen here.

We are finally back in attendance at the VSA Convention in Los Angeles! The Violin Society of America convention takes place in the southeast of the city from 13-18 november together with a competition and exhibition on new instruments. Always a very exciting platform for exchange and learning... and the colleagues are also very nice ;)

View into my 3d-workshop: Structured viola cut (part of) and in a smaller resolution for the web presentation with some "bugs";). If there are problems with the entire texture, we do not add artistic additions, but only show a correct image. It takes a lot of work to make a texture perfect and without lamination.

Vom 24.10. - 30.10.16 haben wir auf der Musikmesse in Shanghai ausgestellt. Eine beeindruckend große und interessante Messe und viele nette chinesische und internationale Kollegen und Besucher - Ein Bild vom Gemeinschaftsstand mit Michael & Andreas Franke und meinem Sohn Hannes als 4er-Team. Das andere Bild zeigt die City beim abendlichen Ausflug bei schlechtem Wetter. Immerhin war der Regen bei 25 Grad angenehm warm...
