Finished a working prototype of a new fancy reed case🤫

Finally finished my work on a new line of slim cases for oboe reeds (for now only for oboe, but upon request will faster a version for english horn).

A few new cases for 3/10/20 reeds respectively. They do feature the same such as my slim bassoon cases, such as ultra possible compact plain design.

And together with them also updated my oboe bands to… let’s say version 2😌 Thy should fit and hold reeds now better, as my older variants were too tight and small

After some feedback and staticts from my customers decided to change my holders and make them slightly bigger (them itself and holes both)

It’s really interesting, as yet I never had any complaints about holder sizes from US users, but already did some adjusted bigger versions for my fellow European customers. So it looks like that even a thickness of the reed is different in every country (or probably better to say region🤔).

Anyway, now this problem is noted, resolved and reorganised. Interesting facts were added to my box of knowledge about people/musicians😌

Got a pretty cool idea for a new case design after rewatching my favourite series. But it still needs some time to implement and test a few cool features, that I would like to add. Inspiration strikes when you least expect it 😉

As a long-time user of various reed cases, I always had fear that during travel or any kind of shaking the reeds would loosen inside the box and get damaged

So eventually I solved the problem in the most radical way possible - I designed and made my own reed cases exactly the way I wanted them

Whether that momentary urge was slightly excessive… Is still an open question for me to this day
