Dreaming up new projects ☁️

There is a lot of planning and organising going on behind the scenes these days. New yarns and projects are slowly coming together, others are finalized to make (head)space for what’s coming. 🍂

Can‘t wait to share more! But for now I’ll dive into packing this years countdown calendars to ship them at the end of the month!

Happy launch day for the October collection! It is finally time and the new, naturally dyed yarn collection is now up in the shop and ready for you to browse through. ✨

We are welcoming our new yarn base „Shore“ alongside a big, autumn-inspired restock of Heirloom in 4ply and DK weight. But that’s not all! Additionally, all back stock yarn is now 20% off to make space for more projects in the works! Hope you’ll enjoy this little treat as we transition into my favourite season. ✨

This sweater travelled with me - twice! And I can say, the pattern was absolutely perfect for that! ✨

As time for sample knitting was a short and headspace a little limited these past weeks, I was craving a project that would be mindless and just allow me to dive into the stitches, admiring the fabric they’d create. How fitting that I also needed a stockinette stitch sample for our new yarn base „Shore“! 🦙

The by ticked all the boxes for me and I was so drawn to its simplicity with clever details. So I cast on while on the way to a weekend trip with my partner and worked through the majority of the body two weeks later while we were in London. So it has come far for sure and was an absolute breeze to work on. 🤍

I could not be happier with how it turned out - it is the perfect oversized sweater to just throw on when I’m going on my morning walks to the studio. The raglan detail is inspired by the rays of the sun and the drape of the yarn accompanies this detail so well. For this one, I used our new yarn base „Shore“ to showcase its elegant but still mildly wild character. And what a match, I’d say! 🤍

„Shore“ is coming soon, alongside some other plant dyed goodness on our „Heirloom“ base, all launching on the 2nd of October at 8pm CET 🍂

A new, autumn-inspired collection is coming! 🍂

These past couple of weeks, I was very inspired by the changing seasons and my upcoming favourite time of year: autumn. That spark of inspiration resulted in a new palette of earthy, warm and muted shades accompanied by some neutrals, fresh cool tones. Everything is now labeled and almost ready to make its way into the shop, alongside our brand new yarn base „Shore“! 🐑🤎🦙

If you’d like a closer look before launch, there are now two new videos live on YouTube: the full colourway preview, where I’m chatting you through all the shades in the upcoming collection, and a dedicated introduction to our new yarn base, with everything you need to know about it - specs, swatches, samples and the inspiration behind it. 🤍

The October collection featuring all the autumnal shades on Heirloom 4ply and DK aswell as the first batch of „Shore“ launches on the 2nd of October at 8pm CET 🍂

✨ Please give a warm welcome to our new yarn base „Shore“! ✨

My vision behind „Shore“ began with the ability to source some Alpaca fibres in the UK. I then sat down and started envisioning what to blend it wit so I thought about how to highlight the beautiful properties of Alpaca while also adding my own touch to the blend. 🤍

The outcome is a blend of 33% British Alpaca, 33% Wensleydale and 33% Romney fibres. The Wensleydale is a longwool and adds a sheen and lustre while also complimenting the drape of Alpaca. The Romney adds a bit of tooth and the slightest bit of bounce for an improved texture towards my vision of a lustrous and drape-y but still substantial and wild, characterful yarn.

Summary „Shore DK“ - 33% British Alpaca, 33% Wensleydale, 33% Romney - 230m/100g, 3ply construction - sourced and spun in the UK - lustrous sheen and generous drape, natural grey colour - sophisticated but with a softly rustic, wild character

A new palette of plant dyed colours inspired by my favourite season is getting ready to make its way into the shop. We’ll have lots of earthy, warm and muted shades dyed on both Heirloom 4ply and DK alongside a brand new yarn base that I’m so excited to finally introduce to you. ✨
