!!!! IMPORTANT – HELP US SURVIVE !!!!
Dear followers. You’ve probably already noticed that more and more small and medium-sized online shops are announcing that they’re discontinuing deliveries to other EU countries. This is due to the new EU Packaging Regulation. In short: every retailer must obtain a licence for any packaging they supply to end consumers and contribute financially to a waste management scheme, such as ‘Grüner Punkt’ or ‘Reclay’, to cover the disposal of that packaging. So far, so good. Until now, many countries had de minimis thresholds or very low fees, meaning that shipping to them was financially viable even for small businesses. The new regulation now requires an authorised representative in every country to which goods are shipped to take on this task. The cost (excluding licensing fees) per country ranges from €150 to €500! Mind you, this applies regardless of whether you send 1 parcel or 1,000.
Which small and medium-sized enterprises are supposed to bear such costs? For us, this effectively abolishes the EU single market. We urgently need duty-free thresholds so that we can continue to offer you our products from outside your own country.
That is why I am urgently asking you today: please comment via the following EU link on the impact this regulation is having on your business or your shopping habits. Because if hardly anything is being delivered within the EU anymore, many people will (have to) fall back on goods from China and elsewhere.

Time for summer tour! In Sletten you will find us at the Jomsborg Camp from 20.07.26 till 26.07.26 (in the photo, you can see our exact location).
After that we stay in Ribe VikingeCenter from 27.07.26 till 03.08.26, as usual on the marketplace.

Met Pinksteren, op 23, 24 en 25 mei, is het weer tijd voor Vikingfest!

Zoek jij nog iets leuks om dit weekend met de kids te doen? Kom dan gezellig langs! Drie dagen lang komen Vikingen van heinde en verre naar ons museum om hun handelswaar, kennis en verhalen te delen.

Voor onze kleine bezoekers is er meer dan genoeg te doen! Bak zelf een gevuld broodje om van te smullen, maak een runenhanger om mee naar huis te nemen, of luister naar een spannend verhaal. Dappere krijgers kunnen boogschieten op de nieuwe boogbaan en twee keer per dag deelnemen aan een Vikinggevecht.

Wil je even ontsnappen aan de drukte? Ook dat kan, in het Tolhuys. Hier kun je even op adem komen, of samen een Vikingspelletje spelen.

Genoeg te doen dus, voor jong én oud.
