Not perfect , but worlds better than those indian cast ones on the market.

This was the spark for making one of the Colmar rings....
This original medieval silver ring is in the private collection of none other than Daniel van den Woldenberg, where you not only can shop for almost anything you might need living-history-wise throughout several centurys, no he basically has his own "small museum" with different artefacts.
Daniel got a wearable replica of his ring for his birthday .
(Although my first version got a little bit too big😅)....

First time gilding my silver jewelry.😁
These rings were inspired by a ring from the Treasure of Colmar. End of 13th - Mid 14th century.
Why I was inspired to make these will be explained in another post.
Also I needed an excuse to finally gild some stuff ... fun times ...I gilded a few things.......

Finally after my first lid split on me, I finished this chest. It is roughly inspired by Oseberg Chest 178 (without a lock).
It is big enough to hold all my jewelry without the need to disassembling everything, which was the whole Idea behind the project....
Especially when nature calls and not one can whatch my goods for a few minutes this will be quite helpful, then of course locked with a good lock 😊......

Last weekend at a living history event about different crafts from different centuries LWL-Freilichtmuseum Hagen
Some experiments had to be postponed due to some nasty wind on sunday, but still I got some work done inbetween talking to the visitors 😊...
